Do it yourself rhinoliner?

So I'm trying to find a do it yourself rhino liner kit because I wanna take the carpet out of my YJ and just spray it all down. I figured since I live in a very rural, very southern, very redneck area that the Walmart down the road might have some kind of liner kit. But no. They ain't got ****. I'm tryin to find somethin relatively cheap too I already got a lot of other mods planned for this Jeep that are going to be pretty dern pricey. Any suggestions?

Bought a gallon kit of herculiner at advance auto yesterday for 69.95. after 6 years, I needed to put a second coat on in some areas.

Yea, I did my tub in the Herculiner and love it. I found mine at the local Walmart, but have also seen it at Advance and Auto zone. I brushed mine on, not nearly as much prep to brush than spray. It took 2 coats and just took a weekend to do. Just remember to rough up your surfaces and clean them real good before you put the herc down so it will bond to the surface.

You'll probably need an extra quart, it took me a gallon plus a quart to roll on. Just curious, are you using an undercoating gun to spray with?

Did my Herc today thanks to the nice weather .. I got mine at NAPA. I rolled on and 1 gallon was plenty, I layed the 2nd coat on pretty thick too.

HUH? Maybe I put it on crazy thick. Although my tub was bare so I coated everything, plus my door openings and tub rails. Definitely glad I did it. You won't regret it. I actually spilled some brake fluid on it and nothing happened.

1 Gal will do the trick. But after a year i saw it on sale and bought a 2nd gallon and applied it. I like it even more now. That extra thickness is nice. I also did my rear bumper with it the second time around. No more scrubbing and repainting that bad boy any more.

I live in chicago so when i pulled carpets when i bought I had surface rust. I went to rhino and line x and they said to por 15 and if the rust doesnt come back after 2 more winters it would be safe to line w/o worring bout rust growing under liner. And I run from may to mid sept no doors(every day rain or shine) and just bikini. drain plugs must be pulled. water drains right thru and i didnt put carpet back in. I plan to put some sort of lining in it and plan to prime and coat my tube fenders that just came in the mail bare steel. Herc has the convienence of being easy to get but I have been looking at other products as well. I found this stuff called xtreeme liner on ebay. i will search for link but they claim same ingredients as rhino plus kevlar. $150 for what makes 3.5 gallons. Has anyone tried it?
