It was because I found a very appealing deal on some being sold by a guy that had them on his TJ. Just wondering

Well those are rock sliders not rockers, and you can make them fit.

If you cut around the body mounts and use them as a big piece of angle iron, they'll work. The lateral force is pressing into the tub so the extra mounts on the body mounts aren't necessary.

Anti, I'm not quite sure what you mean by angle iron? Did you mean cutting flush around the body mounts so that the rock slider will fit to the tub?

Basically turning the TJ slider into a piece of angle iron is the easy way to get it to fit correctly.

How cheap are we talking?

3"x3"x10.5' 3/16" angle iron : $40

2"x5' 3/16" flat stock: $14

2" diameter by 3/16" x10.5' tube: $15

10 stainless steel bolts, washers, nuts: $8

Textured black rattle can paint: $ 7.00

Having a good friend who is the fabrication manager at your work and a fellow jeeper: Priceless
