Deciding on tires

I have finally got the money for new tires (Tax returns when your still in school kick a$$). I want 33X12.50's but I am afraid of the weak rear end on my Jeep. So I was thinking about 32X11.50's. Costco has the BF Goodrich Mud terrains for $151 each, installed. What do you guys think. Will getting 32's vs 33's make that much of a diference. Also there's the regearing issue. I have a 3.5" SL now so tire rub shouldn't be too bad plus I'll eventually throw on a 1" shackle lift.

If I were you, I'd go ahead and run 33's ( IMOHP ). You can get a great set of mud terrains for alot cheaper than $151.00 apiece. I picked up my General Grabber MT's for roughly 105$ apiece, and they are a GREAT tire so far. I have put almost 10k on them and have seen no noticeable wear ( for mud terrains ). I ran some 30 inch General Grabber AT's when I was stock, and those tires took 65k miles with wheeling and all before they were shot. General in my opinion makes a GREAT tire. Anyone else who use's them would probably say the same thing. Just my .02 though,, hope this helps,, peace...

Be like Mike: go with the 33's. As for the weak rear end, that is a bunch of crap IF you can drive correctly.

Go with the 33s. Are you locked at either end?

no, not locked at either end and no plans to do so in immediate future. Mike611, I think $151 apiece is a good price considering everywhere else I have looked is more expensive. I would like to find cheaper ones but can't. If i order them I need to pay someone for installation which will probably put the price over the costco price.
