That is exactly what i thought , but when he said the bfg's wore down fast and the tsl's made a crazy difference , he made it sound like the tsl's lasted longer. Maybe its just me. Anyway , does anyone have any idea how long the tsl's would last on the road? I'm torn between tsl's and iroc's , and i dont have the money in my budget to get either one in a radial.

yeah the TSL's wore alot faster but there diffrance off road was crazy. even when they wore to about 75% they were better then the T/A's. If i ever bought Super swampers they would be trail only tires or at least side streets no or very limited highway . Just too much money to be spiinning at highway speeds wearing out. BFG's are a good allaround tire but from what i have seen i would rather have buckshots. just my .02 Sorry to be off topic. From the sound of what the orginal poster wanted to do the baja claws might hold up well to the drving he is planning to do.

The claws are a cool looking tire and thats about it. My friend runs them , they suck in the mud , suck even worse in reverse in the mud , and are wearing down pretty fast. If you only use your tires around town , at 45mph tops , does it make a big difference compared to them wearing on the highway , because thats all i will be doing with them. Someone told me that tires only really wear on the highway because they get hot and lose more tread.

They don't even compare.

Irok's FTW!

TSL's don't last for crap on the road. At least not on a full size. My buddies have had 'em, and they don't last.

I don't drive my Irok's on the road, but offroad they are unbelievable. I've had them to Moab, and all over the place here on the East side.

Yea , i really like the irocs, I'm going to go 39.5 by 13.50. Just a couple questions , havn't really heard anything about how they go on the road , and what width rim would you recomend. I'm assuming 10 inch? I think im going to go with stock f-250 backspacing as i am trying to suck the tires back in as much as possible.

When you get your 'rocs , are you gonna go for bias or radial? I would really like to know if the wear difference is worth the extra cash per tire. I could see if it was on a fullsize , but i really cant see them wearing out to quick under a light jeep. I'd like to hear some experienced input.

i've heard plenty of times that BFG muds are amazing all around, mud, trails, rocks, street. and they wear very well. i've heard that the claws suck for everything, i'm considering egtting the bfg's now. again, i have no personal experience with them.
but i do have experience with Parnelli Jones Dirt Gripz. these tires are awesoem at everything and they wear well. get them, i just want to try something different.

does anyone know the nominal tire size of BFG 33x12.5?? (nominal = actual measured tire hight)

i second the Kumho tires, don't let the funny asian name fool you, there just as good as Bfg's and much cheaper. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Kumho&tireModel=Road+Venture+MT +KL71&vehicleSearch=false&partnum=105QR5KL71&fromC ompare1=yes&place=3

$123 a tire Vs. $147 that'll save you almost $100 dollars

I ran 35 inch yokohama geolander m/t. They were awesome , unfortunatly i only got to use them for a day before i blew my rear , and they have been sitting in my garage for a month. Shoot me a pm if you want a really good deal on a BRAND new set.
