Victory lap thread.
After a really close race this month it came down to a three way tie-breaker with AmbuGrl pulling ahead for the win.
- Canyon blue metallic, 3.5in BDS lift, 5/8 boomerang shackles, Rugged Ridge SYE, Hurst short throw shifter, factory lsd, 33x12.50x15 KM2s (in the pics she is wearing black rock wheels, but now she is sportin AMR Teflon coated aluminum wheels). She also has a Borla exhaust (header all the way back) back and Swag offroad tailgate mod. Interior has new seats, tuffy center console and rear box, sound bar and mountaineer rack.
- SoCal Jeep born and raised. My parents bought her new off the lot in January 92 (we have the original bill of sale, sticker and owners manual). They kept her pretty stock with the exception of smittybuilt tube steps and bumpers. We decided in 09 to fly to Cali and road trip her back to Va. Since 09 we have added all of the above mods and refreshed her original paint color.
Thanks to everyone that entered this month. Every single YJ entered was awesome and made for a tough contest.
Moab Trails I've done: Onion Creek, Long Canyon, Dome Plateau, Top of The World (2), Fins-N-Things (2), Poison Spider,
Golden Spike, Gold Bar Rim, Hell's Revenge (2), Baby Lion Back, Cliff Hanger, Moab Rim, Kane Creek Canyon, Strike Ravine
Thanks everyone! Still kinda have 'sticker shock' lol. There were so many amazing rigs I know it made it difficult. I thought we might grab a few votes but winning is pretty awesome.
The Jeep does have history (I have pics of me in it in 1992 just after they bought it and right before I left for boot camp and pics of our son when he was about 8 - he is 19 now). I also missed quite a few things in our description that I was teased about, lol.
Mike and I initially talked about what to do with her when we got her here and it was his decision to build what my dad always wanted to but never had the time and couldnt afford. The paint inside is all original (the orig carpet was in it when we got it and the roll bars still had the covers in excellent shape). Motor is orig (in fact we just replaced the oem started and alternator this year). Everything he has done was in hopes of building something dad would be proud of. When he saw it for the first time in person in Sept he was speachless. I think we did good by him.
Very grateful for all of your votes and kind words!!! (and yes I turned wrenches on this too lol)
