so you have to have voted in the contest in the past in order to vote in the present? I'm very confused here. I thought this was supposed to be something fun and entertaining not an opportunity to to single someone out that has spent thousands and thousands of dollars and many hundreds of hours building something so cool. So cool that quite a few people know about and want to support that happens to be doing well in a contest?

just sayin, that's what this seems to be turning into. I may be wrong....

It's not set up to be a popularity contest to invite your friends over so you can win. You don't see guys from my club voting for me do you?

they don't like your Jeep? Hehe
and um, if it's not a popularity contest about which Jeep is most popular than what kind of contest is it? that's certainly the way it's described!

listen man, I'm not here to cause problems. 1 of the guys in the club told me that another buddies Jeeps was over on Jeep forum in a yj contest. I knew how much time he had spent building it and how cool it really is to watch run. So I came over here and gave him my vote because it's a sweet jeep! I don't see what the problem is.

Hey anticanman, for YJ of the year are you going to reuse the old entrees? If so can I change the pictures?

18 of the 26 votes for lilviper are from NON.....I repeat "NON" PV4WD members. If you include his own vote (which obviously you would vote for your own rig) that makes 19 votes out of 26 (one bring Lilviper himself) meaning that approx. 74% of the vote comes from people not involved in any way with PV4WD. This was detremined by looking at there locations and when a guy from Arizona or even "close" by like connecticut are voting for his rig. Sure if you want to take the other 7 votes away he is still in the lead by 2 votes. Just wanted to present some facts for everyone to looke at.

Percentage doesn't matter. It's the principle of the rules in the first place.

Did anyone read them?

Its kind of hard to police with Facebook and JF haveing region specific threads. Friends have friends and word gets around. It only takes a " Hey, im up for YJOTM " on a network and its all over. I could have padded but I didnt,,and I only received 2 votes, Just my 2 cents

Negating all the PV4WD votes would still place him in the lead is the point I was trying to get across. I see the rules and hence why I didn't post afterwards that I had voted so you also negate my vote. Anyways, I would like to say that ALL the YJs look great, never thought about one of these as a project because of their suspension but you guys have a some great looking rigs and like poster said I would love to have any of them. Happy Jeeping everyone! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you.

could you please specify the rule that was violated then? I've read them a couple of times now since we started this discussion and everything seems to beat legitimate.

Can we all just get along? Both have valid points but I do have to agree with canman about those only showing up to vote for a buddy ... I guess since I have no friends therefore can not solicit I am siding with the contest administrator on this.
