the panel illumination lamps should be on a different circuit from the gages themselves.
if some of the panel lights up then it is probably the individual bulb for the temp and fuel gage. Fuse #10, color tan, and 5 amps, is for the panel illumination. The needle on the gages not working is a seperate problem. Check out this faq to test the temperature gage... http://faq.jeepforum.com/faq.php?id=9586 good luck, and report back. I have factory shop manuals for the '03 and may be able to help further. Bil

Fuel Gauge sender.
this is straight from the book... 1) Turn ingnition switch to run. 2)Separate fuel gauge sender connector from fuel gauge sender near tank. 3)Ground the center wire of the body harness side of the connector(Tan/Black color). The gauge should read at low end of scale. If ok, check sending unit(step4). If not, check circuit between connector and gauge. Repair as required. If circuit is ok, replace gauge. 4) Turn ignition switch off. 5) Measure resistance from fuel gauge sender connector center terminal to a clean chassis ground. Meter readings should correspond to shown in Specifications. If not ok, replace sender. If ok, repair open from fuel gauge connector to ground. SPECIFICATIONS: tank empty: 1 ohm tank 1/2: 44 ohms tank full: 88 ohms whew! good luck, Bil
