dash Wiring HELP!!!!

I just replaced the entire wiring harness in my 88 yj 4.2l, im putting the dash back together and I cant figure out what some wires go to. check it out here

Welcome to the Forums!

Let's ask a couple of pretty straightforward questions:

1) what caused you to remove the old harness?
2) From what source - donor vehicle or Painless Products - did you obtain your wiring harness?
2.5) If From a Donor Vehicle - what year, make, model, engine and transmission type?

Old harness burnt up, new one is from a donor vehicle however I'm not sure exactly what yr make model, I know it was a 4.2l and thats about it.

Follow the post and look at the wiring color code. It should point you to what you are looking for.

Thanks Asia - if you fill out your profile that will help us a great deal - here are some things that may be different from one Jeep to another and therefore may effect or impact your harness. i.e. do YOU have a 4.2 in yours as well?

A/C
Fog Lights
Engine Type
Automatic or Manual Transmission
etc.

Not huge items - but I'm asking these questions because without knowing - it's hard to know specifically what the connections may be for exactly.

It is a 88 yj 4.2L manual trans, no accessories, the jeep the harness came from mary have had accessories, im not sure

I am in the middle of a move so it's impossible for me to look it up. The wire codes should help figure it out. I am try to think what it could be like the chime module, mainenance module, fogs, rear wipe(hard top) and door switches. Look at the schematics I posted. They should help.

I can identify several of your connectors. However if you could post your pictures on JF and number each pic we'll be glad to help. The wiring diagram is also a good place to work from. Post those pics.

3rd pic looks like the connector the the AC/heater blower fan switch on the left of the heater control panel. Bottom pic is the light sockets for the heater control panel and something else - probably an ashtray light?

1st pic is for rear defogger
4th for fog lights
last picture is the dash indicator lights that go next to the fog light and defogger switches. to the right of the steering column
