Dash Speaker Install w/AC unit

I've read all the write ups on the dash speaker install so I'm going to give it a whirl tomorrow and drop the windshield, etc...my question concerns the factory AC unit in my heep...when I pull the dash does the AC unit come too? Any bolts specific to the AC unit I need to loosen/remove???

dude,, with a little finagling.. you can get the speaker in there without removing the dash.. just remove the bolts that hold the whole dash assembly
onto the tub, by the door sill, and tilt it forward about 2 inches, everything will move forward with it

how do i know you ask?? i did it, took me about 15 minutes per side

okay, all finished...a couple of lessons learned...
  • the ac blower sits on top of a metal support bracket, you need to make sure it is properly situated before the drivers side will fit properly
  • the roll bar to windshield bolts are 5/16-20 1 and are hard to find...i ended up re-using the torx
  • i hate torx bolts

All in all, pretty much a PITA but I got er done.
