Dana 45?

Anybody ever heard of a Dana 45 rear end? I've seen a couple of mentions of it, once as the "heavy duty" in a J10. If it exists, is it any good?

TIA

I never heard of the Dana 45 before .. so I did a quick search on the 'net for it. All I could find were girls named Dana .. and picture number 20, number 35, number 45 .. and some of the pictures were very nice!

Sorry that I wasn't more of a help to you there ..

A D41 axle exsists, so does a front axle 27. Both in the old, old Jeeps.

Thanks. I figured these were either mistakes, or people who don't know what they are talking about. I got the same results when I searched on the internet for it. Very nice pics indeed!

Thanks for the info!

I found Dana 45 axles all over the net. As far as I can tell most factory jobs were on cherokees.

Wow!!!! That's a 10+ year old thread! It's amazing to realize how much I have learned in that time!
