dana 30yj to tj passenger shaft seal problem

I just got a tj 27 spline passenger shaft for my 95 yj dana 30. slid in smooth. took out the star round gear thingy and just put the control plate back on. now im leaking quite a bit of fluid out of the tube at my passenger wheel. i know how to remove a carrier and all that good stuff. already re-geared and locked my front end. did i damage a seal when installing? do i need a different size seal? is there a important seal where that air control module is? if i do need new seals can you tell me specifically which ones i need and can i get them from a local parts store? and what they look like because advance auto employees tried to sell me a pinion seal saying it was the right one. i could be wrong but i think the seal is different. but the oil is still rollin out so any help is appreciated. pictures are awesome!!! visual learner here.

Napa # 11800 You need to pull the carrier and put it on the passenger side, inside the pumpkin

Is that a special seal or just a tj seal?

It's the seal that fits and works

Like said above, napa 11800 at the pumpkin. the old seal at the CAD housing is a different size and will not seal on a tj shaft. The shafts are a different thickness

It's just a seal. Don't try and tell someone "I need xxx seal for xxx vehicle in xxx location" type of thing. Go to Napa and tell them you need part number 11800.

If you mod your jeep enough then most parts end up being bought like that, with a part number in hand already!

"That part isnt for a jeep its for a 78 f-250" <--Yes I know just get it.

Exactly, I hate the.....

"I need a part # XYZ...."
"What's it for?"
"Don't know"
"You don't know what it's for?"
"Yes I do, it's for a '90 Jeep Wrangler with a fuel injected 4.2, four wheel disc brakes, with an onboard air compressor, electric fan and air lockers."
"I don't even show those options."
"I know, can I have a part #XYZ?"
