Dana 30 intermediate shaft bushing

I have a 1990 YJ Wrangler with Dana 30 front axle. The seal failed on the passenger side and as part of the repair I am replacing the intermediate shaft bushing. The new bushing from Crown Automotive has a larger ID that the one that is in service. Total clearance of the new piece is .027". This seems excessive but I am having trouble finding a reference that shows what the clearance should be. Any help on this is appreciated.

The older YJs use a bearing while the new YJs use a bushing. It might be possible you got the wrong one for your application

Thanks for replying to my question. I finally went to Chrysler and measured a factory part. The factory part provides for less that .005" clearance. This makes sense. We really need to pay attention when buying aftermarket replacement parts.
