also, there is sometimes a little center cap on the rims that will rattle. if its that, then sometimes they can be made to fit tighter and sometimes you just have to put some clear rtv behind it and hope it stops

Yes can hear it rattle at low speeds and sometimes at road speeds.

When my wife hears a clank or rattle in my jeep, she asks what it is and i say "i don't hear anything" then turn the radio louder!

There is supposed to be a thin metal wave washer behind that (cover) you have to push it against the washer so you can install the cotter pin. That cover actually (with the help of the cotter pin)keeps the axle nut from backing off and falling off.
