Dana 30 Bearings

Does anyone have the bearing numbers that go in the dana30? I will be changing them and need the numbers for them before I take it apart. It goes with 4.10 gears (I have no idea if they are different in the 4.10 then the 3.07's)

What bearings do you need? The pinion bearings? Carrier bearings? or the front hub, which is a sealed unit and will have to be replaced as a whole unless you have lockouts.

93 YJ SOA 2" springs front, XJ springs rear w/main leaf added, High pinon 9 inch rear detroit locker front Dana 44 ARB 4.56 Gears, 36 inch Irok tires too much to list.

Going by what i see in the dealer's software:

For the pinion:
J812 4052
J812 6499

For the Carrier
J812 6500

you'll need 2 of that one.

if you need the hub bearings as well then
5300 0238

TSE, prior to 91 the hub bearings were not sealed as a unit so he should be able to repack them.

I don't know how current these numbers are but they should be able to cross reference them to the right parts.

No need to yell! just call Randy's Ring and Pinion and order a "Master OverHaul Kit". It will come with everthing you will need. You can also get all tools that your going to need to properly setup the gears. HTH

sorry for the caps but the system I use here at work is case sensitive. The whole reason I don't want to order an overhaul kit is because you pay 3-4 times the price of the bearings in those kits. I can get bearings here at a cost price so I need the actual bearing numbers

Maybe you should call your local napa parts store and tell them you need the frickin bearings then or just the numbers and see what they say.

I think it's worth it to get everthing you will need all put together in one nice little kit. By everything I'm talking about All four Bearings, New shims for the Carrier and Pinion, new alxe and pinion seals a new pinion nut lock-tite and gear marking compond.
If you don't think all that stuff isn't worth 50 or so bucks then you must be pretty cheep.

I won't waste time with you cause its just going to go on and on. I have everything I need in twice the quality you will get in a kit for half the price. As for cheap think what you want but I have a jeep and I spend much more then I should on it.
