D30 rt axle seal(solid axle shaft)_

Have a question. I installed some chromoly axle shaft and have a leaking passenger side seal. I am sure I probably screwed it up sliding the shaft in. I do have a question though, is there suppose to be two seals on that side. The one at the carrier and then another one near the CAD?

You may have had some residual oil left down in the tube from before you swapped that is just now showing itself too. May not be time to freak out yet!

Then again, you may have just damaged the seal when you installed the shaft too. That happens occasionally.

This. Housing was stripped and cleaned before axles were put in. I damaged the seal

The napa seal 11800 inside diameter is to small for my axle shaft, also does that seal go here?

Would need to call quadratec but I am wondering if those are for the tube seals at the end of the axle tubes?

The 30 spline shafts are a little bigger and have their own seal.

Had you mentioned it in the first post or profile then it would have been solved earlier.

I'm much more organized in my head than in reality. hehe. Just got home and the invoice is not in the "stack" I know I put it in. Someone must have snuck in and moved it. obviously I will look in my other stacks in morning.
