we figured by the time we are done itll be about the equivalent of 1000 dollars in bumpers

we are going to be into it front and back maybe $50 dollars

we aso own a metal shop

that helps a little

the pull points are verrrrrrrrryyy well done and are not going any where

I used to sell those d rings for hd equipment trailer safety chain set ups, you could pull a semi with em if the welds are good. Nice lookin bumpers, you might want to make the rears wrap around under the body corners, they crush easily.

I'm sure they'll hold up fine to the weight but how do you expect to get a strap on them?

Finished product pictures

we finished our bumpers today so here are the bumpers mounted....

the front bumper, we are greasing the towel holder...
jk we have greasable shackles

the lower bar is to protect the steering box and low hondas

the rear bumper

grinding down weld spatter (its a technical term)... making it pretty

using the pipebender was all about trial and error

wheeling at local reiter pit later

lookin good!

i would have gone with 3/16" or 1/4" wall sicne you plan to use them as tow points but i tend to build bumpers way overkill and way too heavy

looks great though... very nice finish!

-Erik <---- has used those shackles on a ton of trailers and bumpers and absolutely love them

Good answer. I was hoping you'd come back with an answer other than, "my tow strap has hooks on it, duhhhhhhh!"
