cruising speed

i have a simply question. I've searched the threads and couldnt find anything. I have a 87 YJ 4.2 auto with 308 gears and 33's. What are you guys with simliar setups able to cruise at during highway speeds? I was thinking of regearing to 410's but im afraid with the 3 speed auto i might loose top end. As it is i feel like im pushing it getting to 65mph. Any input is appreciated.

try this.. You can play around with tire size and gear ratios etc...

note: your trans will probably be listed under dodge.

When you went to 33s, did you change your speedometer gear to accommodate the change?

What you THINK is 65 might actually be more like 75-80

to use that chart you put in what you have for a trans (dodge tf 999) 231 transfer case and your rear axle ratio.. push calculate and scroll down till you see road speed.

I used a TF999 and 33 inch tires (used your profile info) and a 4.11 rear ratio. I can change any info you wish or you can try it again
