I'm going through this right now. Thought I was crazy. Everyone tells me I need a new fuel pump cause I'm not priming, or check back valve is bad. But as soon as that CEL comes on I start EVERYTIME! This thread rocks....this reply will help me find it again later when I attempt surgery.

I see the pictures for this thread are down. If somebody e-mails (thomas.epperson()gmail.com) the pictures to me, I will host them on my website.

I had no difficulty at all doing it without pictures. I actually took a few until my camera batteries died and I couldn't locate more. Sorry for the blurriness, also an effect of low batteries.

Any suggestions for the silicone?

Radio Shack dosen't carry a specific 'electronic silicone' anymore. I fully understand the non-latex silicone requirement, but would any clear non-latex silicone do?

I went with the smallest removal of silicone on the backside. Makes it harder... the old silicone is a pain to remove - plus is smells rotten when it hits the soldering iron.

If you have the 4.0, the capacitors are in a different spot on the ECU. But there are still 3 of them. They are easy to spot. This write-up worked great for me, fuel pump kicks on every time.
