Mixing oil won't hurt anything. I have no idea what your other question is. You oil fill cap is broken?

Long ago (well within my lifetime), it was a very very very bad idea to mix oils of two different BRANDS together - like it's filled with Havoline, ya top it up with Quaker State, bad stuff happens. Today's oils are very different from yesterday's oils, but still I get tense about mixing two different brands. No problem with a different viscosity oil, but I don't like to mix brands.

At an oil change, I may switch brands... na, I don't even do that - I've been using Pennzoil since the late 1970s. It may be time for me to look around, though, & maybe switch to Rotalla for the CJs.

maybe I should just change the oil...How many jugs does it take of the $5.00 to fill it up.. plus would synthetic and regular mixing be bad? I will get pics up of it Sunday because I'm going on a ride today(17th) with Planedog w/ GA trail riders and I'll be gone at beasly knob pretty much all day but I will for sure get a pic up sun thanks you guys

Mixing conventional and synthetic oils isn't bad, you can even buy it preblended in the bottle.

6 jugs (quarts).
