Could this be a fuel line problem??? Need real HELP!!!

i posted a couple weeks ago i was having some problem causing me to lose all power while driving. i have a 94 4.0 manual transmission. i can go through first and second gear just fine but sometimes when i get into third and on into fourth gear it almost feels like i am losing power. the best way i know to describe it is i shifted into too high of a gear but im going too fast to down shift. it almost feels like theres a govenor on it for some reason.

now things ive tried hoping it could be that. i have changed the air filter, the fuel filter, the distributor cap, the rotor, the thermostat (that one was a far fetched idea that someone told me and i was just hoping maybe it would work), and someone also told me the cat could be clogged so i cut it off. none of these have worked. i have traced the fuel line from the tank to the rail and its not pinched anywhere and im pretty sure there are no leaks. i thought maybe i got ahold of some bad gas that had water in it or something but ive run new gas through it and am still experiencing the problem.

im truly lost right now i just need some ideas of things it could be so i can either try it here or take it somewhere and tell them this is what i think it is. i would appreciate any tips or ideas.

if the fuel lines are not pinched, i doubt it is them to blame myself.
have you hooked up a fuel pressure gauge to see what it is putting out?
i used to have a fuel pressure gauge that had enough line on it to keep the gauge itself in the cab so i could see what it was doing then driving, may be worth a try.

Mine was acting like that last week, no check engine light either. I pulled the throttle position sensor, cleaned the contacts and put it back on. It's ran fine since, hopefully your fix is as easy.
