Conv of '92 YJ to CJ front end style, possibly dash

Hey all,

I'm a new Jeep owner (this time around, bought & owned a '81 CJ-5 back in the day) forward, I currently own a '92 YJ that I got for a STEAL of a deal. Wanted to hold out until a CJ came along, but the price on this one was crazy good, SO....

I'm wanting to convert the YJ square headlights to more common round headlights.

Looking for a shop in Southern California????? HELP????

Thanks much!

Drive careful!!

Here is a CJ with a YJ front!

I also was looking for a CJ when I ran across my YJ.

I love YJ's now. The frame makes the difference for me. You can always tell if a CJ has been wheeled hard. The body is dimpled where welded together from the frame tweaking. I no longer want a CJ.

Now to your question.
Everything is really up to you. Call some body shops in your area and ask them if they do custom fabrication. Maybe try some welding shops too.
What do you want to do? Drop it off and tell them you want to pick up a CJ looking YJ in a couple weeks? (Them locating all the parts?)
I'd hate to see the price on that.

Search classifieds for the front clip yourself. It doesn't look like that difficult conversion if you have a garage and some tools. The way I judge things, you would never get your money out if you ever want to sell. I'm guessing it will be a $3000 to $5000 conversion if a body shop does it all.
Three grand in a YJ would make you forget all about CJ's.

I hate not being able to answer an OP's question directly. Sorry

My Jeep is NOT a Fiat!
