cold air

i was wondering if there was any way to hook up a cold air intake on a 1 bbl carb 4.2

The 90 4.2 air cleaner assembly should work. IIRC, it will fit the Carter 1 barrel as well as th 2 barrel. It is a cold air intake from the factory

418 miles on 19 gallons of gas. Can't beat the BBD !

You would need a carb hat. To make a cai work ,

However the factory aircleaner cleaner is supposed to bring air in from a port under the backside of the parking brake on the driver side. You would need the hose the connects the airtube opening to the square tube on the grill. Which will suck air in from between the grill and radiator. At speed it will be pressurized thus a ram air effect . And outside air is cooler then air from the engine bay.

I got rid of that hose. It was ripped and stuff.
