Coilover help
So got some coilovers this weekend. Was told they were 12" travel. Didn't have a tape, well anyhoo they are 10" travel coilovers. So I was thinking 12" coilovers were the minimum I would use. Will 10" coilovers be to short and not give the drop I am looking for. Was going to set the 12" system for 4" up and 8" down. Now the best I could do is 3-4" up and 6-7" down. Will this be to short?. Not give enough travel. Anybody have expierience with coilovers. Thanks

Sorry it is for the front and was going to start building a 3 link set-up like poly performance. Have 35" tires full fenders still. I have some crummy 4 inch lift leaf springs on it now and it doesn't flex well at all. I guess any improvement would be better but figured 10" travel was not enough. Thanks

In that case it's good you mentioned some suspension details.

i went 16" with mine. this seemed the norm but lately ive been noticing that allot of people are backing down to 14" which is probably wise. my leaf spring soa uses the full stroke out of the 14" shocks on the front so it made sense for me. id say 10" is a bit short. you can either return or you might want to save them for the rear.
