My CEL came on and so I threw it in diagnostic mode and it threw out a 12 and a 55; I know what a 55 is but cannot for the life of me find what a 12 is, anybody know?
should have put out more codes then just those 2 if your light is on. Usually its 12 33 and 55. 12 is that your battery has been disconnected within the last 50 cycles of the key switch.
The CEL was a recent development, didn't appear when we test drove the truck; we needed to drop the tank skid anyway and found that the return line was crushed, thought that was the problem, CEL still on, got a new battery (one from PO was too small and old) and the CEL goes out.
You were probably blowing a low voltage fault before you swapped batteries. Check your codes evey now and then for the next few weeks to see if anything crops up. Disconnecting the battery clears all stored fault codes.
