I have a a '95 Jeep YJ with '91 4 banger and an AX-5 (don't know what year, could have came with the '91 engine or they could have just swapped the block). Either the master or slave is taking a dump and has been using brake fluid for the last 6 months (one Quart over about 6 months), I have found no leaks, no build up, and have been checking every couple weeks for months so I'm just going to replace them both and the line. From what I can tell I have an unusual clutch setup that I can find no record of being factory so I don't know what year parts to get.
If I understand correctly,
'94 - '95 has an external slave with NO bleed screw
'87 - '93 has an internal slave with a bleed screw
My jeep has an external slave (2 bolts holding it on on the drivers side of the tranny with the piston facing towards the front) AND it has a bleed screw on the top back of it (4mm allen head or something like that), now before someone tells me that's not a bleed screw, I have bled it with that screw - it is a bleed screw. So what do I have?
Thanks guys,
