so i picked up my jeep from a friends garage today and the clutch felt fine, i have the 2.5l with the ax5, before i took it there the clutch pedal was just dangling so i bled it and it was fine, i picked it up and it was fine, then about half way home it goes dead, the ax5 tranny is an auto bleeder so i pumped the clutch and got it back, then it went away again, i got home, filled the master, then bled it till it felt good, i went back outside about 15 min later and it was dead again, but i cant see anything leaking on the ground except from when i bled it, any thoughts as to whats going on?
i had the same issue. The if the master is not leaking, then the slave is more than likely. i know that in my 92 the slave is inside the clutch housing and was leaking. Showed no leaking on the ground, it was all internal.
This is the first thing that should of been said. Good call. Your clutch MC does not leak on the outside of the firewall but instead on the inside of the firewall. Reach up there to see if it is wet.
it may also be loosing pressure internally at the master
