clutch issue maybe? please help

about a week ago it became difficult to get my clutch into gear but once i got down the road a few minutes all problems went away. a few days ago the problem kept occurring no matter where i was or what gear i was in. i parked it overnight and went to move it the next morning and could not get it into gear without having the jeep turned off. now i cannot switch gears when turned on and jeep will move on its own if in gear regardless of the clutch pedal fully engaged or not. the only way you can stop it is by applying the brake or turning it off. any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a bad slave cylinder. Sometimes with just a slow leak they will "pump up" after using the clutch a little bit, like brakes that are low on fluid. That's probably what you experienced a few days ago-- now it's just worse.
