I have a '89 and the clock in the gauge cluster is not working. All the other gauges are working and the light for the clock works but the clock stopped working. Any suggestions?

The clock is the 1 item in the gauge cluster that always has 12V power to it.
Over time moisture causes the connection to the cluster or the trace in the cluster to corrode and eventually the circuit "opens up" and stops providing power to the clock.
Check for corrostion where the cable plugs into the cluster and the cluster traces on the back.
Also use a meter or test light to determine where the problem is.
Of course the clock may have died....

JUST MAKE SHURE YOU DISCONNECT THE BATT while removing the cluster. If the circuit board contacts the metal of the dash, WOOOOHOOO watch the sparks fly and your circuit board fry......
Ask me how I know.

I hope it's just a wire. The part # of your clock is 56001388. It's still available from the dealer, but they want $188.00 for it.

For that price, a dollar store stick on clock will work fine for me

I just switched my radio display from just showing the station all the time to showing the time. It will switch station when I change the volume or station but will automatically switch back to clock.
But I agree that I hate having non-working gauges. I have a clock and oil gauge that are dead. Mrs. Santa may let me have some time at Chrima to work on them.
