CJ top on a Wrangler

I'm looking for input on my 1992 Wrangler. It has a CJ top and with curved door top and I want to use soft windows with my half doors. Will this work? No pics yet sorry. Also, the rollbar was removed and I am thinking on installing it. Any ideas on this or should I just install a soft top, use the half doors and forget about it. Thanks for any input. Also,,it has 33 inch tires (with 4cyl). If I go down to a 28" will I notice more power?

IF you can get YJ soft uppers. They are rare...usually only available with a full soft top that offers the round cornered upper half doors.

You can make a set of TJ uppers work. Then you would have parts that span three incarnations of the jeep.

Thanks for the info. Have you seen a half CJ top.. maybe I am calling it the wrong thing. It make my wrangler look like a scrambler. Its flat from the rear window back to the tailgate (no rear seat). I have full metal doors but they are in poor shape. The half doors look good. What would be the best top for the money in a soft top (that has the window tops). Anyway thanks for the help...newbie here.

Maybe a CJ-8 hard top???

I have done this...and it was glorious. I think the only thing done to the CJ-7 top was notches cut on the corners to accommodate the roll bar attachment to the windshield.

Looks like one. Does it have a T handle on the lift gate?

That is a cj top. I used to have one.
