I just replaced my soft top with a hard top. The prob is the new top came with tj uppers and they seal like crap. The rear peg is cut off and I hate putting all the work I did on my new top monstalinered it look bad cause of this awful doors! Question is I have found a few cj full doors will the striker work?

Early CJ7 doors will not work on a YJ. They have lever handles as opposed to paddle handles and the early (76-79) CJ doors don't use a "Nader Pin" latch, they have a "keeper" latch mechanism similar to the doors in your house.

80-86 CJ doors will work on early (87-89) YJ's.

I have a cj7 hard top and full doors on my 87 yj. I just had to swap the latch pin with a stricker plate took all of like 30 minutes. They work great now.

76-80 CJ doors have the lever which has a striker in the door. Those will work if you unscrew the striker pins the YJ came with. If they have a catch latch on them like the 81-86 CJ they are the same as the YJ strikers.
