Anyone put a CJ front clip on their YJ? I wanna try it, not that i dont love my YJ lights.. just would be different from the other jeeps around here?? how hard is it? how much does it cost? and how hard is it to find in hunter green (haha)

Quadratec sells a CJ one-piece front end that lifts foward. Its made to fit YJ's. Runs around $500 I think.

i think that would be pretty cool especially since my front ends alittle crooked right now from a run in with a minivan, last time i checked tho i thin the piece was like 600 a mounting kit for 200 maybe and probably 2 or 3 hundred to paint it plus shipping of course. just can't wait till i can afford it and everything else my jeep desperately needs

Do some searching on this site because I've heard this explained before. I believe a main problem had to do with the distance to the CJ grille being about 1" closer/farther from the firewall than on a YJ. Anyhow, unless you have a good salvage yard or something, by the time you buy all of the pieces, your best bet may be to go with something like that ready-made tilt frontend.
