Cigarette Lighter Doesn't Work

The cigarette lighter had some light corrosion; I cleaned it as best I could; there's still a bit of rust in the center back. Both wires are plugged in. No cell phone car chargers work, but I haven't tried an actual cigarette lighter.

It's the only electrical problem I have in the dash. I don't know if the AC (where the cigarette is located) was factory or aftermarket. One lead is pruple/white and the other black. I followed them back into the wiring harness where they disappear into the black sheath, then (I think) out through the firewall. All the fuses are good. Any suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

First check the wires to see if you have a hot and ground. If so just replace the cigerate lighter input.

Power should be in the fuse block at your dirivers feet. Check for a blown fuse.
