Cig Lighter Not Functioning?

Okay my fellow jeepers. I've been slowly putting my jeep together to where it will satisfy my jeeping needs. I've came across my cigarette outlet. It is currently not working. Any suggestions to get it going? I'm going to try getting a new fuse on black friday due to thanksgiving. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks!

Do you have a test light? Your first step is to find out if power is getting to the lighter...

I might possibly have it. I stay at the gf's and her dad usually helps me with all my jeep issues. I planned on asking him the day after thanksgiving since he works 2 jobs and hopefully can get this thing going so i could have a second heater running this winter.

check that the live connector to the back of the lighter is attached - its a push on connector that connects to a pin.
Mine has fallen off before - gave it a squeeze with some pliers last time I put it back on and it seems pretty secure now

why do you need a second heater? my heater will drive you out of the seat even with no back window and a soft top?

Couldn't agree more. Just bought it for $400 a week ago, running and driving. Other things require attention, but the heat is definitely on the list.

Shoelessboi, is the key on? The cig lighter doesn't work on my 95 unless there is power to the lighter. Safety feature, I'm guessing, so it can't short out and cause a fire while you are away from your jeep.

Figured this out while trying to use my 12V floodlight while camping. Thought the dang light was broke until I turned the key on to move the jeep.

Lol i just messed with it a little bit and no luck.. Ill have to figure out how the receptacle comes off or i have to find a way to get under to see it all more. I seen the green/white wire that comes out of the back was still attached just didnt push on it or nothing to the receptacle yet.

And my heater works.. but the little heater i have that plugs in the cig lighter i use to use works waaaaaay better.
