Just out of curiosity--if it's custom and doesn't have to meet any emissions, why are you putting an EGR on it? I say block that thing off and put the $54 back in your pocket--cha ching! I've had 3 vechicles with Chevy V8s (two 350s, and one 327) and they've never had EGRs.

When I bought the motor it was blocked off, but the motor is has different heads (57cc) and it has REAL high compression... thats the only reason.

Atropine is right.. If he doesn't use an EGR valve then he will have to run jet fuel to keep his beast from spark rattaling! An EGR does not effect porformance in the least.. it just cools the chamber to (since there is no longer lead in the fuel to perform this duty) pervent predetintaion........... and we ALL know how our wives and girlfriends feel about predetintaion.. -Cat
