cheveep is getting there....
i did my rear main seal..
cheveep has a rubicon express 3 piece tj belly skid plate (for a four link setup)... we pulled the tranny completely out and sat it on the garage floor.
to get the oil pan off we had to lift the motor off the mounts (advance adapter mount) to get the pan to clear the exhaust (block hugger headers in the way).
some of you are knowing exactly what im talking about... some of you are lost lol. trust me, its better to be lost.
while the trans was out we noticed the dipstick tube had a crack in it, and it was leaking, so..
tonight i replaced both the trans tube and the motor oil tube.
seems that now the only thing i have leaking is a super slow power steering leak, and the rear diff.
im waiting to do the rear diff until i can get some of those reusable gaskets from lubelocker that everyone raves about. it will be a good test because ill be taking the rear diff back off before winter to take the welded gears out.
anyways.. just feels better to have the drivetrain leaks worked out for the most part. im very meticulous about keeping things clean and it really picks at my brain to know im leaving oil spots.
plus now i can move on to buying the small stuff that will add to creature comforts.. like a bigger shift boot that will actually fit right so no more hot air on my right shin. cant wait!
