Cheap trick: Hi Lift Jack mount

I think I stumbled on a cheap & easy way to mount a "48 Hi Lift jack on a YJ:

If you remove the "Bumper-ets" from the rear frame the holes line up perfect with the holes that run along the jack's shaft. You'll have to remove the jack's base so it mounts flat ( I just keep it in my jeep's tool box). I used "3 by 1/2 bolts with wing nuts for easy access to the jack. I wish I had a picture becuase it looks pretty good.

I also have another.. to keep it out of the rain, mud, snow, etc...
I had taken off the rear seat belts.. and coil's.
The hi-lift holders fit perfectly on the inside of the rollbar,(on both sides).. I welded the holders onto the body and placed the hi-lift there...(basically behind the rear seat)
it perfect for any outdoor mess spot.. to keep it clean and out of harms way... for the time you really need it...

You don't have to take the rear seat belts out; I've got my Hi-Lift mounted to the rollbar with exhaust pipe u-bolts above the rear selt belts and haven't had a problem! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
