changing axles??

okay so i m changing my rear 35 out to a 8.8 and my front out to a 30 off of a 4 cylinder my question how much will changing my gears to 4.10 help?? i currently have 3.07 gears like will it effect my mpg my speed ect... and how much is a fair price for a dana 30 off of a 4 cylinder yj???

Around here I'd probably pay around $100 dollars for a Dana 30, unless you knew someone who could get it for you cheaper. Alot of junkyards price them high just because it has the Jeep name on it. But, a pull-a-part or something should be consistent on its price for all axles.

Changing gears will usually always effect your Mpg, speed, power, etc. What size tires do you have now?

It may help others if you filled out your sig so people can see exactly what you have after they read your post.

yea rite now i have 31s but i plan when these run out on running 33s and thats the biggest i want to go as long as its still street legal and i will go and fill out my sig soon sorry about that

hey I just bought a dana 30 and dana 35 with 4:11 gears. didnt need dana 30 got it for sale. I'm in Massachusetts. I wont go lower than 250... comes with brakes, stearing. ect. guy didnt want to just sell the dana 35.

4.11s should be a good fit for 33s on your 6. Little low for 31s but not too bad.

Your limited slip differential sucks.
