Carrier Gears on a D35

Hey my friend has a 94 Wrangler Renegade 6cyl 5spd and his spider gears broke. He has a D35 rear so i gave hime some old gears i had from my 1990 6cyl spd. He claims the gears are different and dont fit. Is this possible?? Shouldn't the gears be the same??

The '94 has C-clip axles and you probably have the non-C-clip axles. IIRC the C-clips started around '91 or so. I could be wrong, though.

the limited slip will be very obvious. it is possible. bottom line if they dont fit they dont fit. try again with another set.
