Carburetor Base Plate

Managed to break my carburetor base plate (the plastic / rubber one between intake and carb). Where can I find a replacement? I've called around and noone has them.

edit: I guess this also called an insulator plate.

can you get one off the performance wall at hte local auto parts place? take your old one in and hold it up to the ones they have? or check in the rebuild kit for your stock carb? my holley rebuild kit came with the insulator in it

I don't feel like working on anything at this time so i sold my yj.

unfortunately the part is discontinued. Ive potentially found 1 in New York, but I'm not sure. Its a real big PITA for such a small part

Carb rebuild kit or buy any adapter plate, it ought to have a fat gasket as well. Either way, $20.

The rebuild kit comes with the paper gasket, but I need the insulator plate which is made of plastic material and about 3/4" thick. Even the junkyards in my area don't have any!

have you thought of making one. from what i remember its a spacer with two large holes for the throat of the carb and 4 holes that fit over the studs. shouldnt be too hard to make with a drill bit and a hole saw.

What carb do you have? If it's the Carter you can get the carb base gasket from Autozone.
