Can't decide which method to achieve clearance for 33's

So I've done a ton of research on this subject but it's time I ask for some help. I am planning on getting a lift kit to fit 33's. However I really want to avoid the added expensive of a sye and cv driveshaft. So my choices are either to go with the 4 inch rubicon express lift and pray it doesn't mess with my driveline angles or get a rubicon express 2.5 with a one inch body lift. From my research It seems the 2.5 with the 1 inch bl might be the right choice for me. However I have a few questions for people with this setup. Do the 2.5 inch leafs really flex better than a 4 inch. Also with this setup is a sye usually not required? I don't Mind a tc drop but really trying to avoid a sye. I understand the price of the re 2.5 + the 1 bl will be the same price as the 4 inch re kit, so I need some input. Thanks

Get a motor mount lift to help get rid of driveshaft vibrations with the 2.5" springs.

Ok but as far as a 2.5 + 1 inch bl, is a tc drop usually enough on it's own? Looking for people's experiences here, thanks.

You can get away with not using a transfer case drop if you install a motor mount lift. You could possibly have shifter issues if you use a transfer cased drop with a body lift.

I have a 4" lift with 1.25 Boom shackles and 1" BL, with the TC drop, I have not had any vibes since install 4 yrs ago. No SYE needed.

I have a BDS 3.5" and 1" Prothane BL with no SYE. Just a tc drop. No vibes. Clear 33's no problem.

Try BDS 2", 1/2" Besrk booms, 1" BL and some TJ flares in the rear and some flat fenders up front.

3.5" BDS w/ 1/2" booms, 1" bl, 1" MML, NO TC drop on 33's. NM, I have an SYE too. What makes you not want one? Benefits outweigh the cost&effort to install one. Just break that stock driveline once... Ask me how I know. This shot is with Revolvers up front which are about 1/2"-3/4" lower than the booms that are back on now.[/URL]

Hey what lift do you have on your rig now to clear 35's? I'm guessing it's the same lift but flat fenders and larger wheel arch?(sorry to be offtopic)

Exactly. Same lift with Metalcloak Arched fenders and PoisonSpyder crusher corners with the TJ wheel opening

+1

This is the ticket...I would add the MML as mentioned above to help your driveline angles.

This is basically my exact setup (other than the flat front fenders)

With the 4" lift and the included TC drop, you'll be fine. You MOST LIKELY won't get vibes.

I'm running 33's with OME 2.5" .5 booms in front/1" booms in rear with MCE front flat fenders & TJ flares in the rear. The TJ flares allow you to go to bigger tires with less lift because You cut the wheel wells bigger.

You might get away with no Tcase drop & no vibes. But I still recomend a SYE.
