Can you make a 40mm ammo can center console?

Ok, so Tuffy console is like 18 years old.. had to break into it... need a new one. Tuffy is waaaayyy over priced...

I don't have the tools, skills, or time needed to create some of the awesome ammo can center consoles out of a 40mm can that I see on here alot... so...

I will pay someone materials, labor, and shipping to make me a banging *** center console for my 93 YJ...... any takers??

I just ordered me a 20 mm can cost about 35 40 bucks. I think there are two versions one is 7 inches wide and the other is 8 wide. But price is the same. Just google it

No. Ammo cans make terrible consoles. You shouldn't do that at all. Bad idea

Not yet, but it's on my to do list. My thought was to cut a piece of plywood the size of the lid, get some poly fill type stuff or something similar and some marine grade vinyl. Lay the padding on top of the plywood and wrap it with the vinyl, stapling it to the bottom of the board to hold it in place. Drill a couple holes in the lid of the ammo can and run some short screws thru it up into the bottom of the board to hold the pad in place

20MM is just the right width and height.
