Can someone tell me what this is?

This looks like at some point it had hoses going to it but now it is just sitting on the passenger side fender with 2 wires coming out of it that are green and orange in color.
I just baught the jeep about 3 months ago and am doing some engine compartment cleaning but i would like to know what it is before i get rid of it even though i know it's doing nothing right now.
Thanks

Looks to be part of an A/C system. Dave.

At some time in the past your rig had A/C. That's the dryer whose function was to remove water from the system. It's completely worthless now unless you plan on installing A/C, and even then it's probably worthless having been open to the elements for a long time.

Yeah the reciever dryer for ac. If you ever want to reinstall ac you would definitely need a new one for warranty purposes.

Thanks everyone. As that looks to be the one and only part of the A/C in my jeep, I will be discarding of the last piece. It's hard to belive some one would remove all but one component of the A/C seems half**s to me but.... seeing I could pull my 12v coil wire apart because the splice wase'nt terminated in any way shape or form i guess it really does'nt suprise me. The things people do sometimes
