Don't quote me on that. I'd go look for you, but it's raining. And dark.

I'd just cut the floor out behind that footwell drop curved part and weld in your new metal.

Somewhat what I was thinking. Thanx man.

I just welded in a replacement floor section from Q'Tec that had a 90 degree bend on the outside and then welded a new side panel to that. I was in the same position as you but mine wasn't as severe as yours.
Good luck and keep at it. When you're done, you'll be very proud of what you've done.

Some pics for inspiration.

Mr YJ,

Do you by any chance have pics of how you repaired the hole under the seat?

I'll see what pictures I can dig out when I get home, but all I did was cut out a plate and weld it. I did put a little spacer underneath the plate inside the box section though so that it'll withstand the clamping forces when I drill out the seat mounting hole.

Ok cool. I figured I would just end up cutting a piece to fit and go from there.

Get the shielding gas too. I like having the gas. When you have the outlet put in ask how much to get an extension cord for it. I got one and love having it. I can go anywhere in the 2 car gar. and outside.

I am installing the outlet myself and will be using it in my driveway. For the big projects my aunts garage will be the location. Already wired for a welding shop by the PO. Im actually getting a great deal on the miller 180. With a cart and spool gun its going to run me about $775.00 I'm still not shure on the sheilding gas bottle size though. $106.00 for a 40CF or $170.00 for a 80CF bottle. That is cost up front and then for the rest of the time I just pay for refill.

Rusty,
Not the best picture to show what I did, but you can just make out some of the weld under the primer.
When I covered it all in Herc you can't even tell it was welded.

You can see that I had to do a little patching around the right rear seat mount too.

I cut the patch panel so that it would sit flush and then welded all around the seam. Followed that up with the grinder for a fairly flat repair. Luckily the surrounding area wasn't too bad so I had something to weld to.

Yea, I think I am looking at a much larger patch area

Unfortunatly, not too much to post up. I spent half the day at the dentist with a cracked tooth that they are extracting tomorrow. OMG does this hurt. Will post more Friday.
