Can any one in the Mass area do a frame repair?

Can any one in Mass (North Shore to be specific) do a frame repair?
My passenger side shackle rusted/riped out of the frame. It needs a whole new rear section.
Thanks!

These guys aren't North Shore, but they sure have an in-depth background of rust repair. Cranston, RI isn't that far. Here's their web address.

http://www.autorust.com/index.html

They even have a specific kit that you can buy for the exact YJ rear end frame repair that you need. You can buy the kit and either install it yourself or have another shop install it. The following link shows the kit.

Man, I can't believe some of the rust you guys deal with, Me I think your frame is beat. I have seen some frames locally for cheap. I think I would look into buying one from the west to replace that east coast rot. Your shackle is hanging on by a thread...

It's simply a fact of life. It's a lot like working on a boat. You can't ever stop the rust, just try to keep up with replacing and repairing parts. It's something you just have to be able to tolerate when they salt the roads like mad, or garage your Jeep for the winter (which is when you really need it).

I just noticed something that you will want to correct once the repair is done. Your shackles are on backwards.

I had my 89 replaced just like yours. My great uncle is a welder. Their name is Herrick's Welding And Machine
51 E Brimfield Rd, Holland, MA 01521-3101 (413) 245-7533

They do a awesome job. They used quarter inch steel welded halfway to the rear wheel well. I held together great for my and I beat it. Wouldn't be suprised if it was stronger than stock too. They charged $150- $200 for both sides.

My steering box frame area is bad actually. I was keeping an eye out for new frames but im going off to college so i want to fix this so i can sell the jeep

YJcrawler: It isnt even hanging out, its just resting there. It became inverted/ripped out bottom of the frame over a speed-bumb

Rusty: I fixed my driverside shackle a while ago and was gonna fix this one but i felt as if i tried to take the shackle out the frame would come with it!

Levergun: do you think he would charge me more because im not family though?

arclight: I dont know if i feel safe driving the jeep down 95 like that. If its a good deal i could take route 1

The price I quoted was their charge 2 years ago to the public. I payed less.
They have done quite a few jeeps and their average price is $75- $100 a side.
