My best mod on the 2.5 is to double it's size. I have a 5.0 ford ready to go in sitting in the garage. Should be about a 200 HP improvement.

As far as $ spent on my 2.5 TJ this was by far the best upgrade. The biggest pain is getting the IAC housing off (security Torx). If you have a 2.5 DO IT!!!

Just swap your IAC housing and valve along with the TPS. No longer downshifting into 4th on the hill by my house.

What's TPS, did you mean TBS as in throttle body spacer?
And i would like to switch everything out but everything is pretty much totaled im lucky that the throttle body is perfect. do you think it will work with just the throttle body?

Ford 19lbs injectors are a common upgrade for a lot of vehicles. I put them on my 99 Dakota when I had it. You have get the extra air in or your gonna be running a bit rich.

I'd have to pop the hood but I think I remember swapping the Throttle Position Sensor also. You have to use the 2.5 sensor.

Welcome to the forum.

The best mod you can do to the 2.5L is re-gear. But it's still a 4 cyl. The only other thing is replace your entire drive train.

Thanks, and yeah... That's definitely the plan down the road. I'm just looking to get her through the winter and maybe not struggle up hills as much.

There's nothing wrong with downshifting.

Another thing I did was put Ford 19# injectors in. It didn't show a significant increase in power. But I don't have to draft trucks to get up the mountain, fully loaded anymore.
