A/C questions

I have an A/C unit in my 88 yj but I'm unsure of the problem. It blows out air when I turn it on, but its not cold. I don't know if its the compressor or something else.

Does the compressor turn on? If it does, I would check to see if the system is charged with refrigerant.

Crank your engine.. Lift the Hood.. Turn A/C on.. The A/C compressor should engage and you should see the front of it turning.. If not.. Then it could be the following:
1) Out of Freon ( Leaking)
2) pressure switch could be faulty
3) The lead wire to the Compressor could be broken not giving the Compressor power to engage the clutch.

Check it out and get back to us.
