bushwacker or knockoffs? my input pro bushwacker!

Well I purchased the bushwacker fender flares off ebay for $350 about 2 months ago. During a recent offroading outing I broke my rr flare (my fault, suspension was maxed and rubbed the flare). Also ive had problems with the mounting hardware.. they like to fall out.. I found a small nut to fit them which fixed that problem.. However I decided to email bushwacker about where to buy the extra hardware.. They informed me it was under warranty and that they would send me replacement hardware no cost... so I decided to ask about the fender... no questions asked they are sending me a replacement... didnt even ask for a picture. I couldn't ask for more... definitely worth the extra $100 for the real deal (search around, you dont have to pay the $460 retail price tag) Thought I would share my experience.

I had a similar problem with breaking a Bushwacker flare. They were only a few months old also. I asked the cost of replacing only the broken one and they told me $150.00. That would make a set $600.00. Not only are their flares brittle but they ask you to bend over when you need a replacment. I have purchased my last Bushwacker product. But good luck with your's. You will be fine as long as you stay out of the woods.

My experience with Bushwacker was similar to YJ40's. I too had issues with the fixing hardware. 1 quick call and they Fed Ex next day a complete replacement mounting kit, rubber seals / spacers and stickers, no questions asked.

The funny thing is I didn't even buy the bushwacker flares. I had the knock offs from ebay.

Good on ya Bushwacker.

My son and a few friends are always having trouble with their B W flares, breaking, falling off, Etc... great warranty,, but who wants to keep sending in the shi+ and waiting for replacements??? LOVE my 7" Omix flares. I have mashed them against my fenders to the point of body damage and they pop back in shape, I guess they would become brittle in very cold weather, But the cost is half compared to the ,,,,you know brand

Bushwacker does have good customer service, but the material they make the flares out of is their downfall. It needs to be much more pliable. I have seen the Rugged Ridge ones for $150 and they're made out of the same soft plastic the stock ones are so you can rub them against trees and tires all day and not have them break.

However, the nice thing about the bushwackers is since they are stiff they don't warp, unlike the stock material.

I didnt have to send anything in... no questions asked they are sending me a new one.. i doubt they will want the old one back...more money wasted on shipping. Sounds like they aren't great for deep woods but i dont have terrain around here like that so not much to worry about there. A+ for customer service from me... wouldn't think twice about buying another bushwacker product.
