burning oil and running rich

I have a 92 4.0L and sometimes while driving and when I shift gears I can see some blue smoke from the exhaust. the jeep does burn some oil also, plus it smells like it is running rich and the smells gets bad enough to give a headache but I'm used to it, wife hates it lol I know I pretty much need to do a rebuild on engine but is there a quick fix or cover up for the blue smoke but more so for the smell..that is somewhat annoying...thanks

If your running rich then you have either a bad temp sensor, O2 sensor, or the manifold is missing bolts/lose, or crack which is common especially near the rear by the firewall.

I am surprised that your plugs are not fouling out. You should check them to see which cylinder if not all, is bad. You might want to start checking on a rebuilt motor.

How many miles on it? How bad does the oil look?
