Bumper Build
About a month ago, I decided to attempt to fabricate some bumpers for the YJ. The basic plans came from the wrangler-kicks-*** website, but i have made some adaptations of my own along the way.
I started out with the basic shape that is used for the front and rear: ![]() I then had the winch/mounting plate welded on (not welded by me): ![]() I also decided that my winch blocked too much of my turn signals, so i decided to add some to the bumper: ![]() Here is a pic of how it sits now: ![]() I also have some other things planned for it like shackle points and a grill guard that lights can be mounted on. I will update as progress continues and will also begin construction of a rear bumper with a swing out tire-carrier in the future. Enjoy!

Nice. Way better than mine, which is a dented stock stock one that looks like the P.O. hit a tree (among other things)

sounds exactly like mine, on the passenger side of the frame the bumper is all bent back.

Very nice. Are you going to have the clevis points go all the way through the bumper? That way you can weld them on both sides.

I really like the idea of the turn signals in your bumper. Great addition, and very original, too. Can't wait to see a coat of paint on that thing. It'll look very professional. Keep it up, man.

Looks good. If you don't mind my saying... I think I would have put square lights in the bumper... just to keep with the theme.

Bumper looks sharp! I like the lights too. Can't wait to see what your rear bumper looks like. I'm thinking about building my own swing out too.

Love the over all bumper desing, only thing i thought was that the hoop could come down maybe 8-10" that way there the lights are a bit lower then the top of the hood. Other then that great job
