Build Sheet Question - Islander Package

I think that my 94 YJ was an Islander. Underneath the black paint, it is Teal, and the PO said that it had the splash decals on the sides before he had it painted. It also has the "Bodyside Side Steps" and flares like are seen on the Saharas.

On the build sheet, there is no mention of the Islander package. The only apperance items listed are "SE Decor Group" and "Monotone Paint". For those of you with an Islander, is it called out on the build sheet?

Just curious.

I am pretty sure that splash decals are just that. The appearance of a slash of muti color paint on the sides of the Jeep as if some one had "splashed" them on there. They were popular in the mid 90's. I dont know for sure but I thought Islanders were only made until 91 but I may be wrong.

They're just decals that Jeep put on them, a buddy of mine has a jeep with them. They quit making Islanders in '91 too.

Since neither Carfax nor the build sheet called it an Islander, then it must not be one. Plus, there's that little detail that Jeep stopped making Islanders in '92.

Thanks for the info, guys!

-- Jim <-- thankful that the PO removed the decals and painted over the teal.

Old thread but w/e.

What you have is a " Sport" not an "Islander"
